About the event
REALL has been dedicated to providing food supplies to CMS families that have been struggling during this pandemic. We are excited to hand out "BLESSING BAGS" in the carpool line for the their after school program. Our goal is to give these families some staples to supplement through the week. Please help us by putting together food bags so that we can give them to the families as they go through the carpool line.
Please only purchase the items on the list and put one of each of these items in a plastic grocery bag.(Aldi and Lidl have the best bags). You may attach a note of encouragement or a bible verse. We want them to know that they are seen, loved and prayed for.
Here’s the list of pantry items; The picture on this page is what the items look like in the bags. FYI Lidl and Aldi have the best prices.
- Bag of white rice
- Bag of pinto or black beans
- Bag of lentils
- Can or Plastic jar of tomato sauce
- Uncooked pasta
- Can of tuna
- Box of Cereal
- Vegetable Oil
- Mayonnaise (plastic jar)
We will need to have 75 bags filled for each of the distribution dates. You can drop off the bags on my side porch anytime that week before the distribution date at 16322 Bridge Hampton Club Dr. 28277
When you sign up please indicate how many bags you will be assembling. If you can't shop but would like to donate money towards sponsoring a bag please Venmo @Jennifer-Pattinson or PayPal or Zelle @ reallwomenofcharlotte@gmail.com each bag costs $15 to make. Please indicate how many bags you would like to sponsor.
They do have some families living in hotels. They would like to have some cases of easy to open pop top canned foods like Soup, Tuna and Crackers, Spagehettios, Lance PB and Cheese cracker packs, Protein/Granola bars. These can be bought by the case and the counselors will distribute them to the families.
