Our Story
In November of 2019 three of us were discussing the lack of community we were feeling in the Church as well as the need to do something to better serve those in need. Women have a need for belonging and serving, it’s innate just like the Proverbs 31 woman. When we heard that there were hungry children just miles away, we felt the call to action. In February we invited women we knew to come together and join us to be in Relationships through Encouragement, Accountability with Love and Laughter. We had 25 women come to hear our ideas for REALL. The response was overwhelming. It was then that we knew we were onto something “REALLy” big. Just as we were putting the wheels in motion, the country shut down due to Covid-19. We knew that we had to keep the momentum going so we partnered with local organizations as well as the Mission of Hope/Haiti (headquartered in Austin, TX). Our goal was to help feed the hungry children of Charlotte and raise awareness for the hungry children in Haiti. With just the help of 50 women we were able to fill two local school pantries every month, deliver meals weekly to children in apartments, deliver monthly food bags to 75 families, feed the homeless, and support families who had fallen on hard times. These things were all accomplished during the Covid lock down.
Today, we continue to meet monthly to foster relationships. We are sisters in Christ and together we work to build bridges for His Kingdom.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
Mission Statement:
Women serving together to build REALL friendships with each other and our community
Why We Exist:
It is simple, we are women who love Jesus, one another and have a heart for the poor, oppressed and hungry. We have been blessed with the means to bless others. It is what we are called to do. We desire to build a community where women of all ages can come together, hear the word of God and create a space to share their stories, form relationships, pray and worship.
“She extends a helping hand to the poor and opens her arms to the needy.” Proverbs 31:20
How Reall Works:
We have monthly gatherings for women to get to know one another. There will be events and serve projects that will be announced through email, social media and our REALL website with links to sign up. We will do some fundraising to supplement our needs
