Our Story

In November 2019, three of us found ourselves talking about the lack of community we were experiencing within the Church, and the strong desire to do more to serve those in need. We recognized that women have an innate need to belong and to serve, much like the Proverbs 31 woman. When we learned that there were children nearby going hungry, we felt a clear call to action.

By February, we invited women we knew to come together and build relationships through Encouragement, Accountability, Love, and Laughter (REALL). We had 25 women show up to hear about our vision, and the response was overwhelming. That’s when we knew we were onto something “REALLy” special.

Just as we were ready to get things rolling, the pandemic hit, and the country shut down. But we couldn’t let that stop us. We teamed up with local organizations and the Mission of Hope/Haiti (based in Austin, TX) to keep moving forward. Our goal was simple: help feed hungry children in Charlotte while raising awareness about the children in Haiti who were also suffering. With the help of just 50 women, we managed to fill two school pantries every month, deliver meals weekly to children in local apartments, provide monthly food bags to 75 families, serve the homeless, and support families who were struggling—all while navigating the challenges of the COVID lockdown.

Today, we still meet every month to nurture these relationships, always grounded in our shared faith. We are women united in faith to serve, nurture and transform our community.

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
